What is a freight broker?

A freight broker is an individual or company that acts as the intermediary between the shipper who has goods in need of transport and an authorized motor carrier who wants to provide that service.  The freight broker plays an integral role in the movement of cargo between the shipper and carrier.  Freight brokers help the carrier fill their trucks and earn a commission for their efforts.  Some companies use brokers to coordinate all of their shipping and transportation needs.  CFS is committed to providing quality solutions to each person or entity that employs our services.
